Live Chat is a dynamic social hub on every event page. It pairs real-time community dialogue with a live trading stream, letting you feel the pulse of an event as the outcome unfolds.

Who can use Chat?

  • Viewing: Both registered and non-registered users can view Live Chat activity.

  • Participating: You must be registered and signed into your account to send messages.

What content lives in the Live Chat?

  • Single Global Channel: Each event features one dedicated global channel, ensuring a unified conversation for all participants.

  • User Messages: Real-time messages sent by registered users to foster community engagement.

  • Live Trading Activity: Anonymous, automated updates that reflect real-time trading actions as they happen.

What does Trading Activity show?

The feed shows trades on Crypto.com | Derivatives North America exchange.

  • + (Plus): A user increased their position.

  • - (Minus): A user reduced their position or cashed out.

Using the Chat & Common Questions

Why is my chat "on a timer"?

To prevent spam, we’ve implemented a cooldown period. If you send more than one message per second, you will be locked out for 15 seconds. A countdown timer will show you when you can chat again.

Why was my message blocked?

If a message contains prohibited keywords or violates our community standards, it will be automatically blocked. You will see a tooltip with a link to our Chat Rules.

Can I pause the feed?

Yes. If you scroll up to read previous activity, the feed will auto-pause. To jump back to the live action, tap or click the arrow button to jump to the most recent chat message.

Terms of Service (ToS)

By participating in Live Chat, you agree to the following terms. These are in place to ensure a safe environment for all users.

System Abuse & Prohibited Conduct

Users are strictly prohibited from abusing the chat system. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment: Hate speech, bullying, or threats toward other users.

  • Spamming: Attempting to bypass rate limits or using bots to flood the feed.

  • Shilling: Promoting external links, referral codes, or soliciting others for financial gain.

  • Misinformation: Intentionally spreading false data to manipulate market sentiment.

Community Moderation & Reporting

We empower our community to help maintain a high-quality environment.

  • Reporting Workflow: Users can report chat messages from others by triggering the reporting feature. You can report messages by opening the message in the chat feature.

  • Submission Details: You must select a reason from the provided list. A free-text field (up to 200 characters) is available for additional context.

  • Limitations: You cannot report your own messages or automated trading activity.

Suspension & Termination

Violation of these terms may result in:

  • Temporary Muting: Loss of chat privileges for a set period.

  • Suspension: Temporary lockout from the Live Chat feature.

  • Termination: Permanent account closure for severe or repeat offenses.
